Steph Gabriel is an Environmental Scientist and the Founder of OceanZen, which is a sustainable swimwear label that supports the removal of marine debris by using a fabric made from recycled plastic bottles and fishing nets from the ocean. OceanZen was created to be a voice for sustainability, whilst creating functional and stylish bikinis that have a purpose.
While working in the Caribbean in the Cayman Islands 8 years ago, Steph was working with wild stingrays, and could see the human impacts we were having on the ocean. She studied Environmental Science and was involved in some research projects overseas, which really opened up her eyes, seeing waste on a global scale.
