I wanted to share my total pinch me moment with you that I just had on my way to Greece. I technically „know“ that I create my own reality - but sometimes, life just feels so surreal!
On Thursday, I woke up at 4.15am to go to the airport for my retreat, which is starting tomorrow. I hadn’t set an alarm at this time for over a year now. #noalarmsforlife
The Part-Time Job I Never Told You About
When I got to the airport, I had total flashback moments… I actually used to work there. It’s something I never really talked about, because it’s not relevant to the work that I do, but totally relevant to the glowing life I’m living today.
After quitting my full-time manager job in 2015, I had a part time job at Zurich airport. Yes, 100% overqualified with a Bachelor in Interpreting and Translation, experience in working at a General Consulate of Switzerland in Atlanta, and years of leadership experience at Apple. And yes, 100% not the best use of my talent.
Left: Photo I took on Thursday in the most surreal moment I’ve had in a long time. I used to sit there for hours labelling suitcases and telling passengers which gate they needed to go to.
Middle: I was part of the voice team, which I loved. I made announcements for the entire airport and you could hear my voice everywhere
Right: On one of my last days at work, I was interviewed by a local radio about the voice. I felt so honored to do this. Today, I use my voice in my podcast!
I Chose To Take It Slow
This job still means everything to me, because...
it allowed me to slowly build up my business with ease. No rush getting to super success in 3 months to then just fall back into old patterns and habits.
I didn’t have to worry about money (while yes, totally earned less than 50% of what I had before while working less) to pay for rent and food. I knew my part-time job was making me enough to „survive“ every month.
after work, I still had energy left to put into my dream, rather than coming home feeling drained and exhausted, wanting to drop right into bed every day.
And yes, sometimes, my shifts started at 4.15 am, and I didn’t like it. But I am beyond grateful for this experience, because it was an important part of my journey to get to my glow life today.
How Much Can Happen In One Year?
I quit this job in May last year. Below, you can see where I was sitting for years part-time, secretly journaling out my gratitude list and planning retreats behind the desk, when there were no passengers in line. Yes, journal always with me.
Today, one year later, I am in Greece, staying at this ***** Luxury Boutique Hotel (see photo above, I am actually writing this right there right now), waiting for my clients to arrive for a week of deep transformations, mind-body connection, dance parties, pool floaties and self-love.
It feels so surreal. I created this life for myself.
For those thinking I am „lucky“ to live this glowing life: remember that 3 fingers always point back at you and you can have the exact same thing as well!
Building this kind of life sustainably where you’re just constantly wondering if you’re actually dreaming or if it’s your reality certainly doesn’t happen overnight. Not even in 3 months or a year.
Where do you want to be in one year from now? What do you want to do? How do you want to be talking to yourself in one year?
It All Comes Down To How Honest You Are To Yourself
Living a glowing life takes freaking healing work, complete mindset reprogramming about EVERYTHING you believe, courage, unshakable confidence and endless honesty with yourself.
Yes, HONESTY.
No more lying to yourself and talking yourself out of the things you really want. The more honest you are to yourself, the closer you will get to your glowing life.
Greece Retreat October: Last Chance For Early Birds
In October, I’m hosting another self-love and wellness retreat in Greece, which is already pretty full!
This retreat is for you if you’re so over...
waking up exhausted, not wanting to leave the house at all.
worrying about what others think of you or of what you say and what you look like.
stressing out about little things in life.
running on autopilot in your business or job, feeling like there must be something better!
playing that role of being that happy girl all the time, when you're really struggling to balance your health and life.
living in that trap that keeps you stuck in stressful overwhelm and continuous unfulfilling moments instead of enjoying life.
That quarter life crisis… Seriously, you deserve better.
Early Bird is $2497 plus some exclusive bonuses that will expire May 31. The price will go up on May 31 as well.
Oh, and in order to avoid FOMO (= fear of missing out…) during this Glow Camp happening right now, make sure you follow me on IG and also follow the hashtag #theglowcamp to get a sneak peek of what October will look like!
