Oh hi! I’m Martina!
I’m a Swiss country girl and I help high achieving and perfectionist women overcome overwhelm, slow down, and trust their body, so they can live a glowing life.
One of my clients recently asked me if I lived sustainably, so I wanted to give you some insights into my life!
I grow my own veggies. I’m currently growing fennel, broccoli, zucchini, cucumber, onions, carrots, tomatoes, rosemary, thyme, basil, chives, sage, verbena, and mint. And more.
For the things I don’t grow, I shop plastic-free or the farmers market. Whenever possible, I buy Demeter fruits and veggies, because bio dynamic farming is better than monocultures.
I check where the fruits and veggies come from. I don’t buy blueberries from Chile or grapefruits from South Africa. I eat as seasonal as possible, which reduces my carbon foot print and is also how nature intended to grow food - our bodies require different nutrients as we go through the seasons.
I rarely buy new clothes, because I know too much about the fast fashion industry and don’t spend a single cent on sweatshop-made clothes that are produced under modern slavery conditions.
I like occasional second hand pieces and brands that are ethical and transparent on their website about their production.
My skin care and makeup is natural, mostly organic and vegan. My makeup brushes are vegan and handmade by.
I recycle pretty much everything, from paper to glass to aluminum to Tetra Pak to plastic to clothes. I compost. I fill about one 35l garbage bag a month (and yes, I can still do better).
I go to yoga once a week by bike and stop for some bread or black forest cake from the day before to help reduce food waste. I also get some things from the package-free shop.
I have one set of organic sheets from including organic pillows.
I am not perfect. I can still do better. I am contributing to what’s in my power. Living sustainably isn’t about perfection. It’s about the intention and the little things that make a big difference. #theglowlife
