Why You Should Stop Daydreaming About Your Dream Life Now

I get that a lot that people are “jealous” of my lifestyle. People looking at my life, my stories and thinking “she’s so lucky to be able to workout in the afternoon”. Or “I bet all she does is Instagram and smoothies and workouts and chill in her lounge, such a good life!”⁣

Sometimes, it’s a mix of curiosity and jealousy I think. Inspiration and jealousy. Or maybe even inspiration only.⁣

But what I hate the most is when people think I am “lucky” and that this lifestyle just fell into my lap.⁣

Well, let’s backtrack a little.⁣

From Apple Store Manager to Life Coach for Perfectionists

In 2012, I became a makeup artist while working full time at Apple.⁣

In 2013, I launched my first blog. The seed was planted that I wanted to help womxn feel confident with makeup. ⁣I started teaching workshops after work and on my off days. My first clients were my friends and I hosted it at my home.⁣

In 2014, I wanted to work less at Apple, but it wasn’t possible as a manager, so in 2015, I decided to leave.⁣

Is your desire or your comfort stronger?

My desire to do my own thing and help womxn was bigger than the comfort and safety of a well paying job.⁣ I took on a part-time job for 3 years, where I was working shifts, from 4.15am to 11.30pm, Mon through Sun. ⁣

In 2016, I studied to become a health coach (link in bio about the cert I did).⁣

In 2018, I went full time.⁣

And now it’s 2020.⁣

I may damn well still be in a job that burns me out mentally and emotionally and that has no real purpose.⁣ But you know what?

I wanted something different for myself. Because we only have this one life.

Hopefully that became clear for you in 2020. ⁣I followed my heart. I want to remind you that you have a choice. If you don’t like your life, work, relationships, change it.⁣
