Happy August 15! It's hard to believe we're more than half way through the year AND the end of the year is coming closer. Ok, that's a bit dramatic, I admit, but if you're anything like me, a perfectionist through and through, you probably set some goals at the beginning of the year.
Those new year's resolutions you made in January...
What happens to most people is that they set goals in January, maybe even create beautiful and inspiring vision boards - and then go about their lives without taking any action... back into the hamster wheel where all you do is work, work, and more work.
Now is a GREAT time to take a moment (expert tip: schedule it in right now for your next day off!) and look at those goals you set:
Where are you at with them?
Which ones have you already accomplished?
Which ones did you totally forget about?
Which ones have changed?
If you're beating yourself up already...
Your mean girl probably already started telling you what a failure you are... That again you set goals that you forgot about.... That again you didn't stick to your commitments... and that again you failed... So let's stop that right now.
It's totally OKAY to not have achieved everything you wanted. It's OKAY to change your goals, and it's also OKAY if you forgot about them.
We're not here to blame you and be hard on you. We're here to course correct. We're here to do better with where we are right now. So if you're not on track for what your heart desires and ended up in that work-work-work cycle where you find yourself at the bottom of your priority list every week, now is a good time to re-evaluate. Here are some questions for you to reflect on:
What kind of woman do you want to be come December 31?
How do you want to feel about yourself?
What do you want to start doing? Stop doing?
How to finish the year confident and glowing
I know you're a powerhouse of a woman and want to show the world that you can juggle everything at once while succeeding at everything and feeling great at the same time.
But lovely, you don't have to do everything on your own. You, too, deserve to feel supported and have someone to hold you when you need it - as well as someone to hold you accountable for those goals you set in the beginning of the year.
